Privacy Policy

Instructor A&E is designed to keep aviation training assessment information under the instructor's control. The app does not require an Instructor A&E user account.

Information stored by the app

The app may store information entered by the instructor, including trainee name, staff number, instructor name, aircraft and flight information, training programme or course, observations, selected Observable Behaviours, objectives, trainer input, competency grades and final comments.

On-device storage

Active assessment information, saved report information, learned aircraft registrations and personalised Observable Behaviour matching data are stored locally on the device using the app's local storage.

Observable Behaviour suggestions and learning

Instructor A&E can analyse observation text to suggest relevant Observable Behaviours. The instructor confirms the applicable behaviours. The app may learn locally from confirmed observations to improve future suggestions on that installation. This personalised learning does not change the official Observable Behaviour definitions.

PDF reports and exports

The app can generate PDF assessment reports. Reports saved within the app remain in the app's local storage. When you choose to share or save a report externally, the destination is selected by you using Apple's system share and file interfaces. You are responsible for the security and handling of files after export.

Data collection by the developer

Instructor A&E does not currently require a developer-operated account or server to store assessment records. Assessment records and personalised matching data are not transmitted to the developer for advertising or profiling.

Third-party services

When you use Apple's operating-system services to save or share an exported report, the selected service or file provider may process that file according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Data retention and deletion

Assessment data remains on the device until it is deleted through the app's available controls or the app and its data are removed. Exported copies remain wherever you chose to save them and must be managed separately.

Training records and confidentiality

Assessment reports may contain personal or professional training information. Instructors and organisations using the app are responsible for handling, sharing and retaining those records in accordance with their applicable policies, agreements and legal requirements.

Children

Instructor A&E is a professional aviation training tool and is not directed specifically at children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app functionality or data-handling practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
